|David Ball, D.O., MPH, MBA, FACEP, FAAEM
Emergency Department Medical Director, Board Certified in Emergency MedicineDr. Ball graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his Master of Public Health from Dartmouth Medical School and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his Internship and Residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Dr. Ball currently serves as the Chair of the Code Blue committee and is a member of the Sepsis, ED Throughput, ED Collaborative and Infection Prevention and Control committees.
|Jacqueline Barnes, M.D.
Board Certified in Emergency MedicineDr. Barnes graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She received her M.D. from Wright State School of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Barnes is an active member of the hospital stroke committee.
|Stephen Feilinger, MD, FACEP
President, Board Certified in Emergency MedicineDr. Feilinger graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Health Services and was employed as a Paramedic / Firefighter for several years. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his Residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Feilinger served as ED Medical Director and ED Section Chief from 2010-2013 and has been a member of the Medical Executive Committee since 2010. He currently serves as Vice Chief of Staff at St. Anthony's and participates on several committees.

Board Certified in Emergency MedicineDr. Mellace graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular/Microbiology and Psychology. She received her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Mellace currently serves on the Radiation Safety Committee.
|Lawrence (Rocky) Mendiola, D.O.
Emergency Department Associate Medical Director, Board Certified in Emergency MedicineDr. Mendiola graduated from the University of Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He earned his Masters of Science from the University of North Texas and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of South Florida/Tampa General Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Mendiola currently serves on various committees within the hospital, including Peer Review, Credentials, & ED Clinical Pathways. He also leads our quarterly Journal Club.

Treasurer, Board Certified in Emergency MedicineDr. Paul is a graduate of the University of Florida. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint George's University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine at Michigan State University. Dr. Paul currently serves as the Treasurer of BEP and participates on the Disaster Planning Committee.

Board Certified in Emergency MedicineDr. Schulman graduated from in 1990 Rice University in Houston, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. In 1993 she received her M.D. from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She completed her Residency in Emergency Medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Schulman coordinates PA and NP scheduling and has been with BEP since 1999.

Secretary, Board Certified Emergency MedicineDr. Wendell graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1996. She received her Medical Degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa, Florida in June 2001. Dr. Wendell is in charge of physician scheduling and participates on the critical care committee.
